Summer Symphony Concert

Today’s Summer Symphony Concert is a rain or shine event. Please bring your umbrellas. The orchestras will play in the rain. If lightening is visible, we have to stop. The rain is predicted to stop at 4:15pm, the orchestras are predicted to start on schedule.

The Fox Valley Academy and Philharmonic will perform its annual American Pops Summer Symphony Concert at 4:30pm on Sunday, June 26th. The Academy ensembles will present prelude music at 4:00pm.

The Philharmonic Orchestra maestro, Maryann Flock will direct American classics such as Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The concert will include other favorites, such as Edward Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” and the music from the blockbuster movie “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. Donations support the Academy’s ensembles and outreach education programs. Donate now by clicking here.

The public is encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket to fully enjoy the sounds of Central Park.
