River-Cruise Benefit Concert
September 11, 2016 at 5:00 pm
$25
Join the Philharmonic Woodwind Trio and Brass Quintet on the Fox River.
Back by popular demand, the Fox Valley Philharmonic Orchestra will sponsor another river-cruise concert embarking on the “Fox River Queen” from Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles. As before, in the spirit of King George’s 1717 “Party on the Thames River”, our Philharmonic musicians will provide ambience music during a scenic one-hour paddlewheel-boat trip on the Fox River. The Philharmonic’s Woodwind and Brass ensembles will be performing popular light classics throughout the cruise. The benefit concert supports the FVAMP which performs free adult orchestra concerts throughout the Fox Valley and provides youth orchestra training for area student-musicians.
Your $25.00 ticket to the FVAMP includes entry into Pottawatomie Park for the whole day and your “boarding pass” on board the Fox River Queen. Advanced ticket purchase determines the boarding sequence on a first-come first-serve basis. This is a rain or shine event. Aboard the Fox River Queen, patrons may choose upper or lower deck seating. The boat capacity is a 90 person limit.
The Fox River Queen will begin boarding at 5:00pm.
