Enjoy the wonderful story & nostalgic music of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. Narrator, Ginger Pebelske, aka "Mz. Ginger”, the Travelling-Storytime and Stories-in-the-Park Librarian for the Aurora Public Library, will dazzle the audience with the old tale of Grandfather, Peter, and the big, bad wolf. The Lion King Suite roars with music from both the Disney movie & musical. Also buzzing on the concert is Vaughan-Williams' The Wasps Overture, originally composed for the Ancient Greek play by Aristophanes. At intermission, check out the Instrument Petting Zoo, introduced by members of the Philharmonic and the Fox Valley Academy Orchestra. Children may try their hands at conducting the Philharmonic during the Triumphal March by Beethoven. Email the Phil or call for more information 630-476-9072. See you at the Symphony!
