Janice Czerwinski

Janice Czerwinski was born in Iowa City, Iowa. She was raised on a farm and has always enjoyed the outdoors. Since early childhood drawing and painting were one of her favorite past times.

Upon receiving "Best in Show" at the Southeast Iowa All Conference Art Show her art career blossomed. She went on to receive her Associates Degree in Art from Hawkeye Institute of Technology where she was nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement Award".

She moved to the Chicago area in 1987 and North Aurora has become her home for the past 13 years with her husband and their four children. During this time she has owned and operated a successful freelance graphic design business.

The past few years she has taken on new direction with her God given talent. She is passionate about sharing with the world her love for painting and the outdoors and to glorify God through illustrating what she sees in His amazingly beautiful creation. Her gift brings her paintings to life, and as you appreciate them you will almost hear the rustling of the leaves in the trees, see the ripples in the water move... even smell the lilacs as you linger before them.

She renders in a photo realistic style with acrylics on canvas and more recently she has been exploring the vibrant expression of colors with pastels.

Janice is an active, juried member of the Batavia Artists' Guild and a member of the DuPage Art League. She is the art teacher at Aurora Christian Elementary School in Aurora, Illinois. She has found it to be a true blessing helping young kids develop their artistic gifts.
